How do I buy my website hosting ?

The usual approach is to register both your domain name and hosting at the same time.

Special Note: You should always register the domain name in your name - this means you can exercise adminstrative control over it.

These are the steps to buy your hosting & register your domain name:

Click on this link to WEBCITY - Discount Australian Web Hosting Services

Click on "Business Pro" heading.

Choose the hosting type from the 'tabs' - either

Business Starter;
Business Pro; or
Business Pro 5

Press the "Buy Now" button.

Enter the domain name you want to use for your website. (do not put the www on the front of this).

Domain Name already registered? YES

If you have previously registered your domain name, then leave this as yes - Click on "NEXT STEP".

Domain Name already registered? NO

Change this to No and click on "NEXT STEP". Follow these steps to choose your domain name

(a)	Review the results - is your domain name available? If not, then scroll down the page to the "Find another Domain", enter in another choice & click on the "CHECK DOMAIN NAME" button. Keep repeating this step until you have chosen an available name.
(b)	Choose the domain you want from the list of available names - Make sure you have 'unticked' any that you do not want to register) Click on the NEXT STEP button.
(c)	Select the Eligibility Type and the applicable ACN/ABN or BN and your State. Click on the NEXT STEP button.
(d)	You then need to confirm which entity you will be registering it under. (this step may not always appear). Click on the CONTINUE button.

When "Please select a hosting plan" page comes up: Choose either:

Business Starter ($6.95 per month + $9.95 Setup fee) = AUD$93.35
Business Pro ($9.95 per month + $9.95 Setup fee) = AUD$129.35
Business Pro 5Pack ($19.95 per month + $9.95 Setup fee) = AUD$249.35

Click on the NEXT STEP button.

Enter in your name, address and contact details. Click on the NEXT STEP button.

For Additional Products and Services - select both:

Protect My Site - AUD$36.00

AND

Backup My Site - AUD$39.00

Click on the NEXT STEP button.

Confirm Step - check what you buying and your details. Agree to both lots of "Terms of Service" and then click on the CONFIRM DETAILS button.

You will then go through the payment process.

You should now receive emails about you new hosting and domain name. You will need to send these details to us - your webdesigner, so that we can load your website onto this hosting for you.
