How do I register a domain name ?
Registering a domain name is usually done at the same time as registering your hosting.
Special Note: You should always register the domain name in your name - this means you can exercise adminstrative control over it.
However, it may be that you want to register your domain name separately. If so, then -
These are the steps to registering a domain name:

Enter the domain name you want to register. |

3. |
Tick the domain extension that you want - eg, ".com.au". |

4. |
Click on the SEARCH/REGISTER DOMAIN button. |

5. |
Now ensure this available. (Make sure you have 'unticked' any that you do not want to register) Click on the NEXT STEP button. |

Select the Eligibility Type and the applicable ACN/ABN or BN and your State. Click on the NEXT STEP button. |

You then need to confirm which entity you will be registering it under. (this step may not always appear). Click on the CONTINUE button. |

When "Please select a hosting plan" page comes up - scroll down to the bottom and select the last item which should be "NONE REQUIRED". Click on the NEXT STEP button. |

Enter in your name, address and contact details. Click on the NEXT STEP button. |

10. |
For DNS Services - select 2 years DNS Management** ($3.95 for 2 years). Click on the NEXT STEP button. |

11. |
Confirm Step - check what you buying and your details. Agree to the details and then click on the CONFIRM DETAILS button. |

12. |
You will then go through the payment process. |
You should now receive emails about you newly registered domain name. You will need to send these details to us - your webdesigner.
** If you intend to use your Domain Name for either Email or a Website you need DNS Hosting.
