Each of our templates have 23 module positions - as standard - as shown in the diagram below.

It is important to note, that you do not need to use every module position, and you can place items in any module position, depending on the way you want your website to look.  The name of each module position does not mean that you must use it for that purpose, these are merely names so that it is easy to identify which one you want to place your content into.

Consider this:  Even though there is a User3/Main Menu module position, you do not need to enable this on your site.  You may instead utilise any other position for the mainmenu or additional menus.  For example, you can place your main menu in the left column and have a 'vertical' menu instead of the horizontal.  The choice is yours.
