Set new template as default on your Joomla 1.5 Website
Set new template as default on your Joomla 1.5 Website
Make sure you have installed the new template
If so then ...
Set the template as Default:
Please follow these steps:

Logon to Joomla Admin Control Panel. |

Use the Menu: Extensions > Template Manager
![]() Note: If you do not see Template Manager listed as an option on the Extensions menu, then it is most likely because you are not logged in as a Super Administrator. Only Super Administrators will see this menu item. |

You will now see the "Template Manager" on your screen.

Here you can see all the templates that you have loaded into your website. The current default template is indicated by a "Yellow Star".

To change to the new template, - find it in the list.

Click on the radio button to the left of the template name.

Click on the "Default" button in the Toolbar at the top right of your screen.

The "Yellow Star" indicating default should now be alongside your new template.

Now view the actual website and press refresh to see the website with the new template.
